Transcendence Counseling Center, a group private practice in Vero Beach, Florida, is looking for part time and/or full-time psychotherapists to join our community.
Requirements include being fully licensed in the State of Florida with 3 years post independent licensure experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with private practice, be registered with CAQH, and paneled with BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, and/or Medicare.
Compensation is based on income received, and paid out monthly. Therapist must have a niche(s) (children, couples, trauma, EMDR, family, etc.) and be willing to market themselves to grow their referral base and recognition in the community. Transcendence Counseling provides a steady stream of referrals as well. Candidate must be independent, driven, and collaborative. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, couples and families.
Reports to: Owner and/or Clinical Director.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work; and
Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) in the State of Florida (must be fully licensed). A copy must be provided to Transcendence Counseling. Will consider a registered intern, depending on niche and experience.
Available to hold at least 15 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Transcendence Counseling.
Other Qualification Preferences:
Prior experience in a private practice setting.
At least three years’ experience post-unrestricted licensure preferred.
Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).
Registered with CAQH.
Current approval as an in-network provider with BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, and/or Medicare.
Hours:
Work hours and schedule may vary depending on patient and Transcendence Counseling needs. Hours may include some nights and/or weekends. Therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of patients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that Therapist will be available to hold at least 15, 20 or 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Transcendence Counseling. Patient sessions are held in the offices of Transcendence Counseling.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform on-site clinical counseling services to patients of Transcendence Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Transcendence Counseling.
Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Transcendence Counseling website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients.
Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
Timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Transcendence Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
Charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Transcendence Counseling.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Transcendence Counseling.
Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of Transcendence Counseling. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
